Committee Members Reflect on Tour de Tonka
Working on the Tour de Tonka Committee allows me to help build a community of health, fun and possibility, with an exciting group of people!

I started with TDT three years ago as a volunteer. The event services the Minnetonka community in many ways. It is a great team builder. The bike riders really enjoy the different distances to ride. Families love the ride. It helps the only local foodshelf (ICA) with cash and food donations. I have my two grandsons donate their time with parking cars, collecting food, and directing bikers. The ICA foodshelf helped supply 40 volunteers last year.
I enjoy doing some of the marketing programs for the TDT. This year we are reaching out to DECA and local youth groups to help with the event. The event is managed well and it takes a lot of pre and post meetings to make this event the success that it brings to Minnnetonka. Tim Litfin makes sure all the job assignments are covered and what needs to be improved the next year.
I envision the TDT having 5,000 riders in five years. It has been my pleasure to be a servant on this worthwhile event.
