Tonka CARES Community Book Read Tackles Teen Drinking

On February 28, join Tonka CARES in discussing teen drinking and alcohol use in our families with authors Chris and Toren Volkmann at informal morning and afternoon sessions and an evening presentation. Join the community book read with weekly Tuesday night discussions beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Caribou “North” now through Match 27.

Out of 27 students participating in District Spelling Bee, MME 7th grade student Casey Schneider repeats as District winner. Schneider will compete at the regional spelling bee on March 10.

Tonka Tops Metro on State Reading Tests, #2 in Math

Overall, Minnetonka students were 92 percent proficient in reading and 78 percent proficient in math. In Metro area rankings, Minnetonka students are #1 in reading and a close second to Edina in math.
