FIRST® LEGO® League introduces children to real-world engineering, science and technology challenges by building LEGO®-based robots and developing research projects. Guided by their imaginations and adult volunteer coaches, children develop valuable life skills while creating innovative solutions to problems using engineering concepts and robotics. - Design, build and program robots
- Complete missions on a thematic playing surface Research challenges facing today’s scientists
- Work as a group to overcome obstacles and meet challenges Learn from and interact with adult coaches and mentors
- Learn critical thinking, team-building and presentation skills Participate in tournaments and celebrations
FIRST® LEGO® League is open to kids ages 9-14. Teams meet twice a week from September - December. Register through Minnetonka Community Education's website by September 24.
