Kindergarten Information Meetings

Learn about our half-day, extended-day, English, Chinese Immersion, and Spanish Immersion Kindergarten options, as well as our Ready Start K program (especially designed for 5-year olds with summer birthdays). Information Meetings are held in January each year. If you have a child entering kindergarten for the coming year, and did not attend a January meeting, please contact the school office to arrange a tour or meeting with the principal.

February 2, 2012 Kindergarten Registration Night

Visit your elementary school by the first Thursday in February. Kindergarten Registration Night is February 2, 2012. Parents may drop by to complete the Kindergarten registration process and have your questions answered by the school principal. Parents can pick up enrollment packets at one of the information sessions in January. Packets were mailed in mid-January. If you have not receive a registration packet, please contact the enrollment office at 952-401-5009 or your school office.

Minnetonka Preschool Registration Opens February 4 for 2012-13

If your child will be 2 ½, 3 or 4 years old by September 1, plan to enroll in Minnetonka Preschool. Registration opens the first Saturday in February. Meet our teachers, tour our classrooms and learn how Minnetonka Preschool will inspire your child to wonder, discover and create.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment Application Deadline- January 15
The Minnetonka School District welcomes non-resident students through Minnesota’s Open Enrollment Program. The application deadline for open enrollment is January 15 of each year. Applications are available in November in each. Families may sign up to join the mailing list for Open Enrollment one year prior to the application deadline.

Students who wish to enroll after January 15 should apply for a Non-Resident Agreement the first year and complete an Open Enrollment Application by the following January 15 for continuous enrollment.

Once a student is accepted as an Open Enrollment student, the student has the right to continue to attend Minnetonka Schools through graduation, as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment.

Transportation is only provided with the Minnetonka School District boundaries. Open enrollment students may access in-district transportation at an existing bus stop within the District. Register through the Transportation Office.
