Open Enrollment Application Deadline- January 15
The Minnetonka School District welcomes non-resident students through Minnesota’s Open Enrollment Program. The application deadline for open enrollment is January 15 of each year. The application is available in November. You may complete the application online, print it, and mail it to Minnetonka Schools Student Registration, 5621 County Rd 101, Minnetonka, MN 55345.
Families may sign up to join the mailing list for Open Enrollment one year prior to the application deadline.
Open Enrollment approval/disapproval by the District is communicated to families by February 15 (or thirty days after application for late applications). After receiving approval of your application you must notify Minnetonka School District of your commitment to attend by completing and submitting registration forms by March 1 or 15 days after acceptance.
Students who wish to enroll after January 15 should apply for a Non-Resident Agreement the first year and complete an Open Enrollment Application by the following January 15 for continuous enrollment.
Once a student is accepted as an Open Enrollment student, the student has the right to continue to attend Minnetonka Schools through graduation, as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment.
Transportation is only provided within the Minnetonka School District boundaries. Open enrollment students may access in-district transportation at an existing bus stop within the District. Register through the Transportation Office.
