Art Full Bowls 

Help fill the bowls of hungry families in the Minnetonka area by supporting artFULL Bowls events at schools across the District.

All proceeds will benefit the ICA Food Shelf.  ICA organizes food distribution and financial assistance programs for people needing extra help in the Minnetonka area.

Donate $50 or more and receive a commemorative "bowl" necklace.

Thursday, February 23rd, 5 – 7 pm

You are invited to help the ICA Food Shelf meet the needs of those with hardships, because everyone deserves a full bowl. A symbolic meal of soup and bread will be served in the gym. Student works of art will be on display, and a silent auction will feature staff created bowls, 5- 6:30 pm.

Free entertainment will take place all evening. Donations of cash and non-perishable food items will be accepted at the event.  The school will also accept non-perishable food donations throughout the month of February.

Sponsored by Lakewinds and Great Harvest.  Open to the public!

 Clear Springs artFULL Bowls


Tuesday, March 6th, 6-7:30 pm in the Gym/Cafeteria
All 5th graders and their families are invited to view student made bowls and enjoy a potluck style soup meal.  A goodwill donation (suggested amount is $10) will be accepted at the door along with non-perishable food donations.

Adult and teacher created spoons will be available in a silent auction ending at 7 pm.

Join us for this Free Community Event – Open to Everyone!

Amazing artwork has been created by students and staff to raise money and awareness of hunger in our community.

You may purchase artwork IN ADVANCE on until midnight February 12.

ART FOR SALE

  • Kindergarten: batik placemats ($5)
  • First grade: metal forks with polymer clay on handle ($5)
  • Second grade: spoons with polymer clay on handle ($5)
  • Third grade: glazed ceramic sushi slab plates ($10)
  • Fourth grade: glazed ceramic bowls ($10)
  • Fifth grade: glazed ceramic mugs ($10)
  • Staff: silent auction of creative pieces made by the staff
  • Collaborative Portraits: Each class participated in recreating a classic portrait at large scale

BRING A DONATION: EAT FOR FREE!

Enjoy a free, delicious soup and bread dinner, featuring student musical entertainment while you dine!  Please bring an item to help stock the food shelf.

Thursday, March 8th, 5-7 pm in the MHS Cafeteria
Please join us as we celebrate young artist using their skills to create bowls d’art to raise funds to feed those whose bowls are not full. A silent auction, refreshments and non-perishable food drive round out the evening. Open to the public.

 artFULL Bowls Scenic Heights


Tuesday, March 13th, 5 - 7 p.m.

See the school transformed into a huge art museum exhibiting artwork from all 560 students.  Purchase a clay bowl made by a 5th grader or adult volunteer, and devour a delicious Italian meal.  All proceeds will go to help our local ICA Food Shelf. You do not need to have a student, be a student, or even know a student at Scenic Heights Elementary School. Just come on down and support your community!
