New Student Registration

Families who choose to live in the Minnetonka School District have one thing in common. They place a high value on education and have high expectations for schools. Minnetonka Schools are committed to meeting and exceeding those expectations.

Minnetonka Schools offer:

  • A rigorous college-prep curriculum grounded in the basics—reading, writing, math, history and science—
  • Learning enhanced by music, arts, world language, physical education and other challenging electives
  • Test scores consistently among the highest in the state and nation
  • Highly qualified, caring, energetic teachers
  • Small elementary class sizes
  • Accelerated, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Diploma courses for students with the motivation and ability to meet high standards
  • A strong focus on early literacy
  • A commitment to technology in the classroom
  • Full-day and half-day kindergarten options
  • High expectations for character, behavior, respect, responsibility and community service
  • Enriching co-curricular and competitive athletic programs

Schools of choice share four characteristics: Outstanding student achievement, highly qualified and caring staff, involved parents, and demonstrated community support. Visit our schools. Talk to parents, students, staff and community members. Compare Minnetonka to any area public or private school. You’ll see why Minnetonka Schools offer the best educational opportunities for your child.

A small number of classrooms or specialized programs may be closed to open enrollment due to capacity limitations; however,  the vast majority of our schools have space available.

 Home Schooling

For some families, home schooling is the most appropriate educational choice for their child.  Parents with home school students need to complete several forms for the Minnesota Department of Education each year by October 1.  Please visit our home school web page which lists the state requirements and links to other resources for home school parents.
