 W. James Popham is Emeritus Professor in the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. He has spent most of his career as a teacher, largely at UCLA, where for nearly 30 years he taught courses in instructional methods for prospective teachers and graduate-level courses in evaluation and measurement. At UCLA he won several distinguished teaching awards, and in January 2000, he was recognized by UCLA Today as one of UCLA's top 20 professors of the 20th century.
In 1968, Dr. Popham established IOX Assessment Associates, a research and development group that created statewide student achievement tests for a dozen states. In 2002 the National Council on Measurement in Education presented him with its Award for Career Contributions to Educational Measurement. He is a former president of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the founding editor of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, AERA's quarterly journal. In 2006 he was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the National Association of Test Directors.
Dr. Popham is the author of more than 20 books, 200 journal articles, 50 research reports, and nearly 200 papers presented before research societies.

 Among the many books and resources Anne has authored and co-authored is the best seller, Making Classroom Assessment Work, as well as Knowing What Counts, a three-book series that offers practical ways to involve students in their own assessments (both available through Connections Publishing). In addition, she has written chapters and articles for educational journals and publications worldwide, and developed a multimedia resource kit titled, The Facilitator's Guide to Classroom Assessment K-12. Her most recent projects include two book for leaders, Leading the Way to Making Classroom Assessment Work, and Transforming Barriers to Assessment for Learning.
With more than 30 years' experience in education, Anne has demonstrated her skills in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, school district coordinator, department of education planner, school administrator, and university instructor. She earned her doctorate in education from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
A world-renowned keynote presenter and professional development consultant, Anne's genuine care and commitment to support educators and their important work make her an approachable and insightful specialist.

 Willard R. Daggett, Ed.D., CEO of the International Center for Leadership in Education, is recognized worldwide for his proven ability to move education systems towards more rigorous and relevant skills and knowledge for all students. He has assisted a number of states and hundreds of school districts with their school improvement initiatives, many in response to No Child Left Behind and its demanding adequate yearly progress (AYP) provisions. Dr. Daggett has also collaborated with education ministries in several countries and with the Council of Chief State School Officers, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the National Governors Association, and many other national organizations. He serves on several advisory boards, including:

 Dr. Douglas Reeves is the founder of The Leadership and Learning Center. He has worked with education, business, nonprofit, and government organizations throughout the world. The author of more than 20 books and many articles on leadership and organizational effectiveness, Douglas Reeves has twice been named to the Harvard University Distinguished Authors Series. Dr. Reeves was named the Brock International Laureate for his contributions to education. Dr. Douglas Reeves also received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Parents Choice Award for his writing for children and parents.
