For student and staff safety, we are now requiring all volunteers who chaperone field trips or work independently with children to successfully complete a criminal background check prior to leaving on the field trip, chaperoning student travel, or working independently with children.
 
You will complete the entire process online. We generally receive results 24 hours after the individual completes the online form.   However, please do not wait until the last minute to complete the process.  We need time to plan and need to know we will have enough volunteers for a field trip to occur.  The new process also applies to volunteers who work outside of the classroom and not under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.

After completing the Zoomerang form, you will receive an email with the subject line “Request for Background Check Information”.  There will be a link within this email that will take you to a website to enter your information for the background check.  Please note, it may take up to 48 hours for you to receive the email.

The District will pay for the cost of the background check.
