Tim Laughinghouse, Coordinator A seventeen year veteran, Tim has been a Social Studies teacher at Minnetonka since 2000. Previously, he served as a Congressional Aide in Washington D.C. He studied for a semester in London, received his B.A. from Grinnell College, and his M. Ed. from the University of Saint Thomas. As a teacher of the course Current World Issues, he enjoys helping students broaden their horizons. Tim manages the relationship with Minnetonka’s two sister schools in China.

Chris Pears, Social Studies Teacher Chris has taught at Minnetonka High School for five years. Prior to that he worked for Cargill in their distressed investments group. He grew up in South Africa, got his B.A and M.A in modern history from Oxford University, his M.B.A. from Dartmouth College and his M. Ed. from the University of Saint Thomas. He loves to travel and learn about new cultures and peoples. Chris supervises the relationship with Christelijk Gymnasium-Sorghvleit in Den Haag, the Netherlands.

Grant Hendrickson, Social Studies Teacher Grant has taught at Minnetonka since 2006. In addition to teaching Social Studies, he also coordinates the Russia and Serbia components of the International Studies and Exchange program. Grant also coordinates the Minnetonka High School Russian Club and is an assistant coach with the Minnetonka Boys Rugby Club. He previously taught at a charter school in St. Paul and spent three years teaching English in Russia at both the high school and colligate level. Grant completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth and is currently working on a masters degree in education at Saint Mary’s University.
