Offered to students in the ALP Program, this group is focused on prevention and helping teens build and reinforce protective factors that decrease their risk of initiating alcohol and drug use. We focus on decision making, peer relationships, refusal skills and important medical facts about alcohol, marijuana and the impact on the teenage brain.

The ALP group is a group for available to 9th grade special education students who participate in the Alternative Learning Program (ALP). The focus of the group is to assist teens with their academic and social transition to high school. The students learn skills including positive coping strategies, self advocacy skills and goal setting.

This is a support group for teens who have a parent/guardian with an active alcohol or drug use problem. The focus of the group is how to practice good self-care and coping skills while living in a stressful family situation with an impaired parent.
Girls Teen Issues
This is a group designed to support any girl with the issues associated with being a teenager and a student.
Grief Group
The Grief Group is open to any student who has experienced the death of a loved one. The group is co-sponsored by the "Growing Through Grief" School Support Program offered by Methodist Hospital and the Park Nicollet Foundation.
Men’s Chemical Health Group
The Men’s Chemical Health Group is for teens who have experimented with alcohol and/or drugs and who may have had some minor legal or school issues because of their use. The focus of the group is early intervention- helping students to identify ways to promote positive change towards an alcohol/drug-free lifestyle.
Compass Groups (formerly known as Mini School Groups)
The Compass groups work to support Compass students in the issues they face every day. Through speakers, group learning, and shared experience, these students grow in the understanding of themselves and the world around them.
OFFENSE
Organization for Foreign Exchange and New Students (OFFENSE) is a student organization with the mission to promote positive school experiences and connectedness for students new to the Minnetonka High School community. Becoming an OFFENSE member is a way for you to help welcome a student who is new to the school and helps to ensure each student has a positive high school experience.
If you are interested in becoming a New Student Leader and/or a Foreign Exchange Student Mentor, please visit the OFFENSE website for more information.
