The freshman year is a time of transition and the MHS Counselors are dedicated to making the experience a positive one not only for our students, but also their families. We provide numerous opportunities and programs for our incoming freshmen:
- Fall Freshmen Seminar – The Counselors meet with their own freshmen students in small groups to discuss the high school transition and provide information on school resources, co-curricular activities and graduation requirements. This will take place in September.
- Fall 9th Grade Parent Night – Counselors present to freshman parents during conferences. Information provided will include building resources, coursework, the importance of grades and suggestions on how parents can help their teen be successful this year.
- Freshmen Individual Meetings – The Counselors individually meet with each of their freshmen students to discuss the transition, check-in on academics, create goals, and ensure that students are aware of school resources and activities.
Minnetonka High School offers a number of sports and activities to enhance the educational experience for students. Please look through the activities brochure for details of all of the programs offered.
