Student Government is a student-operated council that plans activities and helps makes decisions for Minnetonka Middle School West.
Each spring, 6th graders elect six students and 7th graders elect eight students to represent them for the following school year. Each fall, 6th graders elect six students to represent them for the current school year.
At the beginning of the school year, members of Student Government elect four Executive Cabinet members (President, Vice President, Secretary, Historian). During the year, the students organize events, classroom competitions, news shows, and one school-wide fundraiser (Pennies for Patients, Smile Train, etc.) Student Government meets in room 133 at 8:10 on Monday mornings.
